HEART OF THE CYGNUS
20X10 ACRYLIC W\GOLD LEAF ON CANVAS

A surreal portrait of a young woman sitting on top of water with a swan behind her. The entire canvas is covered in gold leaf and then painted over with layers of gold paint and a limited color pallet. The water is gold as well. This piece carries an important message that we all are beautiful.
Message: We are all like the ugly duckling from the children's stories and only need time to let our beauty grow.

Sweet Angel
10x10 Acrylic w/gold leaf on Canvas
$60
A semirealistic portrait of a young angel holding a harp in his hands. The piece is kept in grayscale with a hint of gold leaf representing his halo. The piece has a looseness style to it with only the face having the most detail thus being the focal point of the painting. This piece carries a special place in my heart as I used my son as the model though only loosely for his face, the hair and body were referenced from an angel statute I own.

WE ARE THE GUARDIANS
20X20 ACRYLIC ON CANVAS
$350
A surreal portrait of a woman holding a baby blue jay in her hands and another taking flight. The background consists of an orange sunset and eerie yet beautiful trees. Are those clouds or treetops? Let your imagination sore with this piece full of life, nature, and beauty. This piece carries two messages, thus two birds.
Message 1: Even when our loved ones are gone, they still remain as our guardians, watching over us from heaven.
Message 2: We are the guardians of our world; we need to watch over nature and everything that inhabits it.

Reigniting one's heart

$350
A surreal portrait of a woman holding a heart shaped match. Imitation Rose Gold Leaf was used for added texture and to emphasize the elegance and beauty of the woman and message of the piece. I used myself very loosely as the model for this piece.
Message: Even when all seems dark and murky a single flame can clear the air and show the way. Reignite your heart and continue forward.

24" X 18" ACRYLIC ON CANVAS
SOLD
This piece was painted live during Frida Fest and in private collection of the city of Edinburg Cultural Arts. The painting is done to fit the theme given and based off Frida's life. This painting is based off the fact that Frida challenged beauty standards by presenting herself authentically in her art. Her unapologetic image became a symbol of self-expression.
"I don't paint things. I paint my own reality."
-Frida Kahlo

I won't be Silenced
10"x10" Acrylic on Canvas
SOLD
A Painting of an African Woman with a male monarch butterfly covering her mouth. This is a piece I made to make a very strong stance on how women's voices are constantly being silenced by the opposite gender and or society as a whole. Thus, the title, I won't be Silenced.

Forevermore
10"x8" Mixed Media on Canvas
(Acrylic paint & acrylic inks w/ texture paste)
SOLD
Portrait of my sister as a remembrance piece. This piece was transformed from a past concept to this beautiful painting and homage to her. The ravens are normally associated with loss and grief. The wind is a symbolism that even though she is gone she will forever be with us in spirit and in our hearts. That just as the wind carries everything, we will always carry her memory with us.
